Suppliers are to comply with all relevant national, local and international laws and regulations
Safety and Health
Suppliers are to ensure a safe and healthy working environment in compliance with all regulations and applicable laws; and to identify all risks and provide training and protective measures to all employees.
Environmental Stewardship
Suppliers shall adopt best management practices minimising impact to the environment to safeguard our natural resources and to comply with the No deforestation and peat commitments as stated in our SPO Policy.
Human Rights and Workers Welfare at the Workplace
Suppliers shall ensure that there is no form of forced/bonded labour and all workers meet the legal working age. Workers must have the right to freedom of association and must free from all forms of discrimination. Supplier must ensure workers’ wages are in compliance with the legal minimum wage and workers are receiving all other benefits as mandated by the labour law and regulations.
Grievance Mechanism
Suppliers are to maintain a transparent and systematic grievance mechanism and ensure that all stakeholders have access to a resolution process and/or remedies.
Land Rights of Community
Supplier must respect individual, customary and indigenous people’s right to their land. Supplier must be able to demonstrate legal entitlement for the use of land.
All suppliers are to comply with IOI’s Sustainable Palm Oil Policy and IOI will perform supplier engagement to help support the transformation of the Palm oil industry
