IOI Palm Wood Sdn Bhd was established in 2020 to convert unused oil palm trunks into high-performance palm wood panels for the furniture and building industries. This not only reduces waste but also offers a sustainable alternative to traditional timber, preserving forests.
Additionally, IOI Group has partnered with Nextgreen Global Berhad to develop a zero-waste paper pulp plant, utilising empty fruit bunches to produce pulp and paper. This initiative further reduces waste and provides a sustainable alternative to traditional paper production, conserving valuable resources.
Palm Wood
Our palm wood venture transforms discarded oil palm trunks into palm wood, an innovative, lighter, stronger, more fire-resistant and eco-friendly alternative to timber, offered in the form of panels, boards, veneers and other furniture components.
Pulp and Paper
Our pulp and paper collaboration transforms agricultural waste like empty fruit bunches into green and sustainable products such as woodfree paper, tissue paper, premium packaging paper and pulp moulded packaging.
