IOI Foundation reaches out to diverse communities through formal community projects and informal outreach activities. We are committed to alleviating the needs of disadvantaged communities in Malaysia and beyond, fostering a culture of compassion and care within IOI Group. Our initiatives focus on improving the quality of life and well-being of community members through educational programmes, community outreaches, after-school programmes, and other resources that create vibrant and thriving communities.

IOI Foundation believes in being a responsible and supportive neighbour, actively partnering with communities, schools and charitable organisations across Malaysia. We strive to improve lives by addressing critical needs, from poverty alleviation to promoting healthy lifestyles.

A key focus is providing medical assistance, including sponsoring medical facilities and offering financial aid to those facing disability, poverty, or critical illness.

IOI Foundation supports social enterprises that benefit the community and the environment.

Bargain Basement, a charity retail initiative was founded in 2016 by Datin Joanne Wong, the Executive Director of IOI Foundation. It was created to repurpose pre-loved goods into funds that support various charitable causes while promoting sustainable shopping. Through this effort, Bargain Basement makes a positive impact on social,  environmental, and financial causes.

Bargain Basement also endeavours to support and buy products from social enterprises and disabled communities.
