IOI Wins Silver At The Star ESG Positive Impact Awards 2025

IOI Corporation Berhad (“IOI”) has been awarded the Silver Award in the Human Rights and Labour Standards category under the Large Companies tier at the fourth ESG Positive Impact Awards 2025, which was officiated by the Human Resources Minister Dato’ Sri Ramanan Ramakrishnan at Sunway Resort Hotel on 22 July 2026.

The award recognises IOI’s leadership in advancing fair labour practices and human rights standards across our organisation. Beyond strong governance, responsible recruitment and worker welfare, the Group works closely with strategic partners such as the International Labour Organization (ILO), the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Borneo Child Aid Society (HUMANA) to address labour-related challenges proactively.
Our key initiatives include a long-standing commitment to providing holistic full-day education for our plantation workers’ children, reinforcing our commitment to children’s right, the IOI Mesra mobile app which empowers workers to raise concerns and seek support, and our newly introduced Pre-Employment Orientation Programme (PEO), designed to strengthen ethical recruitment practices, prevent forced labour while creating lasting social impact for communities.

Organised by Star Media Group (SMG), the ESG Positive Impact Awards celebrate large corporations, Small and Medium Enterprises to mid-tier companies that turn ESG commitments into measurable impact for people, communities and the environment. Held under the theme “Celebrating ESG in Action: From Vision to Value”, this year’s awards honoured 44 local organisations with 65 awards across 16 diverse categories for demonstrating impactful, scalable and results-driven ESG initiatives.
