Senior Manager, Internal Audit

The incumbent is overall responsible for managing the Lahad Datu and Sandakan Audit Office which include:

• Responsible for conducting risk based operational, financial and compliance audits based on the annual audit plan approved by the Audit Committee.

• Provide assurance on the adequacy and effectiveness of the governance, risk management and the internal control systems and processes.

• Ensure compliance with standard operating policies and procedures, laws and regulations and quality management systems.

• Provide advisory services on areas for improvement in business systems, processes, internal controls and operational efficiencies.

• Conduct ad hoc assignments like special reviews and investigations as and when the need arises and/or requested by the management.

• Timely quarterly and annual audit reporting to the Head Office.

• Smooth day to day running of the Lahad Datu and Sandakan Audit Office.

• Candidates must posses at least a Honours Degree in Accountancy and/or Professional Accounting/Auditing Qualifications. CIA qualification would be desirable.

• Minimum of 15 years internal audit experience preferably in the Plantation or related sectors (with at least 5 years in the Manager capacity).

• Well verse with governance, risk management and internal control processes of the Oil Palm Plantation Industry. Added advantage if with exposure in SAP system.

• Possess critical thinking and good analytical skills and is resourceful and solution oriented.

• Possess strong leadership and good interpersonal/communication skills and able to work under pressure to meet reporting deadlines.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

• Willingness to travel and stay in challenging locations/working environments.
