Management Accountant (Based in Prai)

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting/pursuing the final stage of professional papers (MICPA/CPA/CIMA/ACCA).

• Minimum 5 years of related experience with exposure in audit firm.

• A member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants / ACCA.

1. Costing

• Involved in the month end closing and ensure the accuracy of the data and compliance i.e. monthly inventory movement, costing schedules, costing journals and inventory balances are reconciled to GL balance.

• Implementation/uploading of revised standard costs in system.

• Detailed checking of the process order and investigate on any huge variances in the process order.

• Involve in random, interim and annual stocktake.

• Analyse and reconcile physical stock quantity against system’s figures.

• Involve in tank verification exercise i.e. compare system vs ullage readings of individual tanks.

• Ensure accuracy of the costing formula in sales portal.

• Conduct review of product costing with related department as and when required.

• Continuously review the internal control systems and propose improvement in the costing.

2. Company Financial Statements

• Prepare the full set of financial statements of companies, including completing the monthly consolidation package (CP) accurately and on time and preparation of audit and tax schedules.

• Prepare yearly budget for the Companies.

• Attend to the annual statutory audit by the external auditors.

• Prepare consolidation worksheet for year end audit.

• Finance representative in business team to report the performance of the business unit(s) and highlight any exceptional issues.

3. Accounts Payable (AP)

• Continuously review the internal control systems and propose improvement in the invoice processing process.

• Checking inventory related suppliers' invoices and posting in ERP system.

• Ensure on-time payment to vendors and no delivery stoppage due to late payment

4. Others

• Coordinate special assignments, such as group forecast, government surveys, etc.

• Undertake any other instructions from the superior from time to time
