February 2008
  • In conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration, Puteri Mart Puchong visited and spread prosperity to three hardcore poor families in Puchong.
December 2007
  • 69 high achievers in the UPSR, PMR, SPM and STPM categories received their Young Achievers’ Awards in the categories of Gold, Silver, Bronze and Commendation from Yayasan.

  • In conjunction with the Christmas celebration, Putrajaya Marriott Hotel hosted a Christmas Charity Benefit and invited 175 children from four orphanages namely Rumah Shalom, Charis, Faith and House of Joy for a lunch treat at the hotel. A month-long charity drive was also held to raise funds for the four homes.

  • IOI Palm Villa at Kulai organised a Charity Golf Tournament to raise funds for Nurain Shakirah who was diagnosed with chronic lung disease at the age of 2½ years old. A total of RM15,000 was raised during the event.
November 2007
  • Palm Garden Hotel hosted a Hari Raya Charity Hi-Tea for over 100 orphans and the needy from the Sepang District.

  • Yayasan awarded scholarships and educational grants amounting to RM582,000 to 17 bright students who are pursuing disciplines related to agriculture and oil palm manufacturing industry.

  • IOI fully sponsored the construction of the new SJK (C) Ladang Harcroft in Bandar Puchong Jaya. The school was officially handed over to the Ministry of Education during an official opening by YAB Dato’ Seri Abdullah Badawi, the Prime Minister of Malaysia.
August 2007
  • Yayasan was the premier sponsor for the Malaysia International Conference on Foreign Languages and Communication, University Putra Malaysia held on 14-15 Aug 2007 at Putrajaya Marriott Hotel. The conference aims to generate interest in the teaching and learning of foreign languages as well as to bring forth discussions of the challenges confronting both private and public bodies concerned with the effects of globalization and the creation of harmonious and beneficial international relations.
July 2007
  • Yayasan made a contribution to Kolej WIT (formerly known as Workers Institute of Technology) through its Fund Raising Dinner to assist the college to construct a 3-storey hostel and to upgrade the college facilities.

  • IOI Properties Bhd, Johor Division in collaboration with IOI Mall Bandar Putra Kulai, organised the 3rd Putra Charity Run at Bandar Putra Kulai township and successfully raised RM11,000 for Amitabha Centre Charity Village.
May 2007
  • Yayasan donated RM42,000 to National Kidney Foundation of Malaysia to purchase dialysis machines to help the kidney failure patients to have life-saving dialysis treatment and care.

  • In line with Yayasan Tan Sri Dato' Lee Shin Cheng's objectives to foster a strong culture of learning and skills development amongst Malaysians, as well as to improve the standard of education, the Yayasan has committed to sponsor the Universiti Teknologi Mara, Shah Alam (UiTM's) "Best Student Award" since 2005. The best EMBA student who selected to receive the Best Student Award is entitled for RM3000 cash award sponsored by the Yayasan.
