The upcoming IOI City Mall will be home to two of Malaysia's renowned retail and entertainment industry giants when it opens its doors by end-2014. Parkson Corporation Sdn Bhd (Parkson Corporation) and Golden Screen Cinemas Sdn Bhd (GSC Cinemas) were confirmed as the mall’s anchor tenants when they signed the lease agreement with Dreammont Development Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of IOI Corporation Sdn Bhd.
The signing among the three parties was represented by Parkson Corporation Chief Operating Officer Mr Raymond Teo and General Manager Mr Cheong Tuck Yee; GSC Cinemas Chief Executive Officer Ms Koh Mei Lee and General Manager Mr Irving Chee plus IOI Executive Director Mr Lee Yeow Seng and Property Director Mr Teh Chin Guan.
Parkson will occupy approximately 230,000 square feet spread over three floors while GSC Cinemas will offer a 13-screen cineplex with capacity to house 2,400 seats in IOI City Mall.
The fully integrated one-stop “Resort City”, which costs an investment of above RM2 billion, has received great response from businesses as over 50% of its net lettable area has been secured.
