IOI Mall, Bandar Putra Kulai held its 3rd annual 'Rewang Bubur Lambuk & Majlis Buka Puasa Bersama Anak-anak Yatim' event that consisted of a 'kacau dodol' activity, 'bubur lambuk' contest, 'nasyid' performance plus a 'duit raya' distribution on 13 September 2009.
IOI Mall at Bandar Putra Kulai held its 3rd annual “Rewang Bubur Lambuk & Majlis Buka Puasa Bersama Anak-anak Yatim” event with the support and sponsorship from various organisations.
To celebrate the Ramadan season, Palm Garden Hotel opened its doors to 112 children from Sekolah Kebangsaan Alam Damai for a buka puasa treat at its hotel and distributed “bubur lambuk” to drivers at toll plaza nearby its hotel.

97 recipients were awarded with the Yayasan Tan Sri Lee Shin Cheng’s (“Yayasan”) Young Achievers’ Awards’ plaques and cash awards in recognition of their excellent performance at Putrajaya and Penang respectively. A motivational talk titled “Enjoy Achieving A Successful Life” by Dato’ Lawrence Chan was specially arranged to inspire the students to achieve greater heights of success in their lives.
Putrajaya Marriott Hotel organised a buka puasa charity dinner for 64 underprivileged children from Rumah Amal Baitus Sakinah Wat Mahabbah in Sepang with the presence of former Prime Minister YA Bhg Tun Mahathir Mohamad and YA Bhg Tun Dr Siti Hasmah.
The charity home was formed in mid-1996 to emplace orphans, asnaf zakat, the underprivileged, physically impaired, those with Down Syndrome, slow learners, single mothers and fathers, and troubled youths.

Yayasan organised an Ice Age 3 : Dawn of the Dinosaurs movie treat at Golden Screen Cinema, IOI Mall for 87 children and their caregivers from Pure Life Society. Freebies comprising stationery items and healthy snack foods were given to the children who also enjoyed fun games (Newspaper Fashion Show and Z-A Alphabetical Order on the IOI Mall stage) and food at Papa John's.
IOI Properties (Johor Bahru) organised its 5th Putra Charity Run at Bandar Putra Kulai. The event attracted 1,500 participants and managed to raise RM15,000 for the Handicapped and Mentally Disabled Children Association Saleng, Kulai.
The inaugural Putra Charity Golf 2009 was held at IOI Palm Villa Golf & Country Resort, Kulai Jaya in aid of charity. A total of RM17,000 was raised from the event and the proceeds was channeled to the Handicapped and Mentally Disabled Children Association Saleng, Kulai.

Palm Garden Hotel organised a donation drive on 3 June 2009 to help out the
National Blood Bank.
Acidchem International Sdn Bhd's Community Service Committee visited the
Persatuan Kebajikan Kanak-kanak Cacat Yee Ran Jing Sheh on 5 June 2009 as part
of its charitable cause to help the poor and needy. Cash and contributions in
kind were also donated to the residents.

Yayasan organised a Chinese New Year visit to Rumah Love & Care Kajang,
a home to 24 senior citizens. IOI volunteers decorated the old folks’ home with
Chinese New Year deco. Besides treated with a sumptuous lunch and interactive
game, each resident also received an ang pow, mandarin oranges and festive
goodies comprising basic necessities, cookies and food in IOI’s “Going GREEN,
Living CLEAN” bag.
IOI Mart Kulai organised a “Celebrating the Year of the Ox with Orphans” in conjunction with the festive season of Chinese New Year. 50 orphans from the Handicapped & Mentally Disabled Children Association Centre in Johor Bahru were treated to an entertaining day of singing, drama and dance performance plus lion dance showcase.
Yayasan donated RM5,000 to SJK (C) Kg Gajah, Kluang as funding aid and purchase of teaching tools. School uniforms and school bags were also donated to the poor students.
