2008	March	IOI Corporation Bhd is expanding its oil palm plantations in Sarawak by proposing to acquire major stakes in several plantation companies that own a combined 44,350 hectares in the state for RM439.85 million.
2007	June	IOI relaunched its Vision IOI, which was first introduced in 1995, to inject fresh impetus to its employees and to update the Vision IOI statement as well as add in new core values to suit the new business environment.
2007	September	IOI Corporation Bhd made its first foray into the Indonesian plantation sector by investing RM455 million in two joint ventures for oil palm cultivation in Kalimantan with the Harita Group and its affiliates.
2006	March	IOI Oleo, an IOI's subsidiary, has been taken private on 15 March 2006
	September	IOI made its maiden venture into Sarawak with the acquisition of equity interest in Rinwood Pelita Plantation Sdn Bhd.
	December	IOI emerged as the world's largest oleochemical producer following its proposed acquisition of Pan Century Edible Oils and Pan Century Oleochemical.
2005	May	Malaysia's Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, unveiled the topmost point of Loders Croklaan's palm oil refinery - the biggest in Europe -- on 20 May in Rotterdam (The Netherlands).
2003	January	Palmco, an IOI subsidiary, acquired Unipamol Malaysia Sdn Bhd and Pamol Plantation Sdn Bhd from Unilever.
2003	October	Palmco Holdings Bhd has been renamed "IOI Oleochemical Industries Bhd" as of 25th Oct 2003.
2002	March	IOI Corporation disposed Nissan IOI to Malaysian Oxygen Berhad
2002	August	IOI has made a strategic move into downstream value added manufacturing of specialty oils and fats by acquiring the entire business of Loders Croklaan from Unilever.
2001	July	The company undertakes a mandatory offers on the shares and warrants of Palmco.
2001	October	Palmco becomes a subsidiary as the IOI secured 60.5% stake in Palmco pursuant to the mandatory offer.
1999	November	Shareholders approved the proposed purchase by the Company of its own shares.
1997	March	The group ventured into oleochemical business with the acquisition of a 32.96% stake in Palmco.
1997	April	Commissioning of the Group palm oil refinery in Sandakan, Sabah
1995	March	Industrial Oxygen Incorporated Berhad officially renamed to IOI Corporation Berhad on 27th March 1995 to better reflect its diversified business activities and investment portfolio.
1994	January	Restructuring and rationalisation exercise resulted in Industrial Oxygen Incorporated Bhd acquiring a controlling interest in Lam Soon Huat Development Berhad (now renamed "IOI Properties Bhd").
1994	March	Ventured into property development business with the acquisition of Bukit Kelang Development Sdn Bhd
1992	September	The Group acquired a 30% equity stake of Kanzen Tetsu, Sdn Bhd which is principally involved in the production and marketing of stainless steel products.
1990	September	Acquired the entire fixed assets of Dunlop Estates Berhad including 12 estates with total area of 27,880 hectares.
1985	January	Industrial gas manufacturing was transferred to new wholly-owned subsidiary, Industrial Oxygen Incorporated (M) Sdn Bhd as part of a rationalisation plan. Ventured into plantation business with the acquisition of Perusahaan Mekassar (M) Sdn Bhd
1985	June	Acquisition of 27,000 acres of land in Kinabatangan Sabah for oil-palm cultivation.
