  • March - PinnoThin™, the all-natural appetite suppressant, won The Most Innovative Ingredient Award at the Slimming Ingredients Germany 2007 conference. It was also highly commended in the Best New Health Initiative Category of the Dairy Innovation Awards 2007 during the Global Dairy Congress.
  • October - IOI-Loders Croklaan’s Couva™ 850 NH was nominated for the Most Innovative Food Ingredient Fi Europe Award 2007.
2006
  • IOI & Loders Croklaan Group launched Biofuel Program in Europe
  • Loders Croklaan Lipid Nutrition acquired the CLA business of PharmaNutrients

2005
  • Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi unveiled the topmost point of Europe's biggest palm oil refinery in Rotterdam during his official visit to the Netherlands/Germany.
  • Loders Croklaan marks IOI group connection with new company logo (January)
  • A major fire has struck the vegetable oil and fats production and refinery site of ArmaFoods and Loders Crorklaan in Ciaro, Egypt (June)
  • Building De Adelaar sold to Vanillia (June)

2004
  • Loders Croklaan announced building Europe's largest palm oil processing plant in Rotterdam. Construction is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2004 with plans for completion 12 months later.
  • Loders Croklaan has consolidated its position in the growing palm ingredients market by buying Malaysian palm oil specialties company Soctek
  • Loder Croklaan commenced construction of Europe's largest palm oil refinery and fractionation plant in Rotterdam, which cost about EUR 40 million (RM180 million).
2003
  • Loders Croklaan was presented with the Award for TPM excellence - first category
  • Closing Toronto office
2002
  • IOI acquired Loders Croklaan from Unilever in a strategic move to forward integrate the downstream palm oil-based manufacturing capabilities. This acquisition represents for both IOI and Loders Croklaan significant synergies in supply chain, utilization, and geography.
  • A new Dry Condensing plant was built and became operational.
  • Launch of BetrFXTM, a customizable flavor delivery system.
2001
  • Loders Croklaan created the system to deliver multiple sensory profiles with a single ingredient.
  • Loders Croklaan won for the second time the Award for the most innovative food ingredient CotebarTM moisture barriers.
  • Celebration of 110 years Loders Croklaan.
  • The lecithin business with a factory in Zwijndrecht was transferred from Unimills Zwijndrecht to Loders Croklaan.
  • The VOC has been broken up after sale of Unimills by Unilever.
2000
  • Loders Croklaan developed the technology for lipid based flavor delivery systems.
  • Opening sales office in Shanghai.
  • Fettraffinerie Brake joined the VOC group.
1999
  • A separate Business Unit for nutritional lipids was set up.
  • Loders Croklaan started to work together with Van den Bergh Oils Purfleet and Unimills Zwijndrecht in the Virtual Oil Company (VOC).
  • The Nutritional Lipid Plant (NLP) came into operation followed by the creation of the Lipid Ingredient Technology Center.

1998
  • Loders Croklaan was presented with "Zaanse Ondernemerspijs", an award by the chamber of commerce.
  • The former refinery unit of Van den Bergh Foods in Channahon-USA came under supervision of Loders Croklaan.
1997
  • Two new votators were installed in the Fat Packing department.
  • After sale of the Chemical Division of Unilever (including Quest), Loders Croklaan started to report as a separate unit to Unilever Bestfoods Europe.
  • Speciality fats devision of Van Den Bergh Foods became Loders Croklaan.
  • Loders Croklaan became stand-alone subsidiary
  • The Solvent was enlarged.
1996
  • Another dry fractionation plant, a new high temperature batch deodoriser, three new tank farms, TP IJmuiden, TP 95 and Zaan tank farm were built.
  • Loders Croklaan became a division of Quest International and a satellite facility in Egypt became fully operational.
1995
  • A dry fractionation plant based on "de Vrede" -technology was built in Egypt.
  • The UK facility at Cairn Mills was closed and production was taken over by Loders Croklaan Wormerveer.
1994
  • Loders Croklaan won prestigious FiE award for the most innovative ingredient; Prestine (Anti Bloom fat).
  • Large investments were done: Heat and Powerplant for steam and electricity. The new process the E.F.P. (Enzymic Fat Modification Plant) as well as the effluent reducing Alkaline Recirculation System came into production.
1993
  • A new Dry Fractionation plant started production.
1990
  • Loders Croklaan awarded FIE achievement award for the first vegetable-based human milk equivalent (BetapolTM).
1989
  • The refinery unit of Monarch Fine Foods in Toronto became a part of Loders Croklaan.
  • Unilever acquired Durkee Industrial Foods to create Van Den Bergh foods.
1987
  • The Refinery Modernisation Project (RMP) was completed.
  • The two companies began operating under a common name, Loders Croklaan, with a headquarter in the Netherlands.
1986
  • The Special Products Unit (SPU), selling speciality meat and animal feed ingredients, was transferred from Unimills to Loders Croklaan.
1985
  • A complete rebuilding of the refinery was planned.
1983
  • Loders Croklaan developed the use of lipids as encapsulating agents to control reactivity.
1980
  • A new Solvent fractionation plant was built and commissioned together with a new boilerhouse.
From 17th century to 1972
  • There were two separate entities: Crok & Laan (having its roots in Holland) specializes in edible oil refining and processing; and Loders & Nucoline (having its roots in United Kingdom) specializes in fractionation of edible oil into specialty fats. Crok & Laan was renamed to Croklaan in 1969.
  • Unilever Ltd acquired Loders & Nucoline in 1929, and Croklaan in 1971. As a result Loders & Nucoline was linked together with Croklaan to form the International Specialties Division of Unilever.
