This segment entails our oil palm estates and oil mills located in the world's largest oil palm growing region in Malaysia and Indonesia - duly supported by strong agronomy R&D and oil palm breeding & propagation programs. Our unbridled upstream linkages not only facilitate controls to ensure our palm mills' outputs are of the highest and consistent standards, but also provide a traceable path on Crude Palm Oil origins to the respective estates. In addition to establishing agronomy best practices for the industry, IOI actively pursue agroecology best-practices in its plantation operations to promote agriculture sustainability in relation to the environment and bio-ecology. IOI is one of the founding members of the global Round-Table of Sustainable Palm Oil.
