September 2006
  • Yayasan contributed RM30,000 to UPM Clock Tower Fund, a fund raising program through the sales of tiles in celebration of its 75th Year of establishment.

  • In order to fulfill the demand of education, Yayasan donated RM230,000 to support the fund raising activities of Kuen Cheng 2 Chinese Primary Schools in building a new school building to cater for the increasing number of students.
 
August 2006
  • Yayasan Tan Sri Dato' Lee Shin Cheng contributed to the Tabung Thalassaemia Malaysia whereby its main objective is to help patients who are suffering from HBE Beta Thalassaemia to have access to the necessary equipment/treatment needed for the blood transfusion required.

  • Kelab Keluarga IOI, a sports and recreation club formed by the employees of IOI Group made a social visit to Rumah Shalom and House of Joy located in Puchong on 12 August 2006. They also donated lots of household provisions and food products to both the Old Folks and Orphanage homes.
 
July 2006
  • Yayasan provided financial assistance to the "Perbadanan Perpustakaan Awam Pulau Pinang" for their fund-raising themed "One Baby One Book". The book consists of a lot of useful knowledge for the parents teaching them how to educate and nurture their children when they are young.

  • IOI Properties Berhad Johor Bahru in collaboration with IOI Mall Johor Bahru organized its 2nd Putra Charity Run on 2nd July 2006. The Charity Run aimed to develop closer relationship among Kulai and Senai's communities through charity and to raise funds for the needy. A total amount of RM14,000 was raised and donated to Kulai Old Folks Home and Elijah Mission Home.
 
June 2006
  • Yayasan donated RM200,000 to Hin Hua High School, Klang for their School's Rebuilding Fund. We hope that with the new building and upgrading of the school facilities would provide a conducive environment which will help to nurture the new generation of students.
 
May 2006
  • Yayasan donated RM20,000 to SJK (C) Kong Hoe for the school's building fund to build a new building consists of Multi-purpose hall, administration offices and 28 classrooms.

  • Yayasan made a donation to the "Tabung Anak-Anak Yatim/Miskin Darul Hikmah" for the Singing Shop's charity night performance themed "YOU'VE GOT A FRIEND III". Proceeds from the charity night were channeled to four orphanages.

  • In conjunction with Labour Day on 1 May 2006, Palm Garden Hotel organized a charity event themed "Hands of Hope". Orphans and old folks from the Shepherd Centre Foundation based in Semenyih were invited to the hotel for this event. A total of RM2400 was raised and the hotel contributed 2 computers, 3 washing machines, bed linens, detergents and other contributions to the centre.
 
April 2006
  • Palm Garden Golf Club has redeemed itself to being the 5th Best Golf Club in the recent Golf Malaysia polls 2005/2006 after being placed 13th two years ago. The rating was based on golfers' votes from the top 20 best golf courses received by the magazine. The magazine poll considered Palm Garden Golf Club a premier golf destination within Malaysia.
