- IOI Community Run
The IOI Community Run is a highly anticipated
community event that was launched in 2005 to promote healthy living and foster
closer ties among the Puchong and nearby communities. Over the years, the event
has drawn enthusiastic participants that are excited over the challenging run
categories, lively performances, fun games, attractive prizes and sponsors plus
endless delightful activities held for people of all ages. In conjunction with
the run, funds are raised for various charitable organizations including
selected orphanages and schools.
- Rakan Cop Programme
IOI together with the Police launched the
Rakan Cop programme for the Puchong district on 10 March 2007 - with the aim to
create a safer township and to forge better co-operation between the Police and
the Puchong community. Amongst the measures taken include sponsoring Rakan Cop’s
information board at various strategic locations in Puchong, and promoting
anti-crime awareness/activities on IOI’s community website. The Rakan Cop
programme encourages the public to act as police lookouts and provide
information on crime to the Police’s Command Centre through its hotline and SMS.
- Police Station
IOI fully funded the construction of a police
station complete with personnel living-quarters in Bandar Puchong Jaya, one of
its flagship townships in Puchong. IOI also sponsored 10 patrol cars for that
police station.
