 We source our feedstock and raw material supply (when
other than from our own) from sources that adopt sustainable
practices. In that regard, we have transparent best-practice sustainability
criteria for our existing suppliers and sustainability-audit program for new
suppliers.
- All our processing plants are subjected to Environmental Impact Assessment
before being built and are fully compliant with regards to regulatory
requirements on pollutant and waste management and control, and regular checks
are conducted to ensure these are within safe and permissible levels. All our
key plants hold international quality certification on Environmental Management
System.
- A part from optimized co-generation of energy in our plants, we also have an
on-going "energy efficiency improvement" program that continuously seek ways to
reduce consumption of energy (electricity, gas, and fossil fuel) and water, and
output of carbon emission. Encouraging results have been recorded from year to
year in this regard.
